Refrigerator: One week
Tip: Trim the ends before wrapping the spears in the damp paper towel.
The best way to store asparagus is a bit like a bouquet of flowers but in the fridge! After trimming the ends, fill a glass jug with 2 inches of cold filtered water and place the asparagus in, making sure the bottom of each is in the water. Take a clean plastic bag and cover the asparagus and jar, at least a couple of inches below the top of the jar. Next, store the jar in the coldest part of your fridge (preferably towards the back). Remember to change the water if it starts to look a little cloudy.
