Where Should I Store...
Cabbage

Fridge

Refrigerator: 2 weeks

Cabbage (savoy and napa):

Refrigerator: 1 week

Tip: Refrigerate to slow down ‘respiration’ in order to preserve flavour, colour, texture and nutrients.

To store cabbage, it should be kept wrapped in plastic (as it is usually found in the shop) and stored in the fruit drawer of your refrigerator. This will reduce exposure to air and therefore slows down ‘respiration’. The plastic wrap will also do a good job of keeping out external moisture which helps the cabbage to retain it’s internal moisture which is needed to keep it fresh.
