Where Should I Store...
Fish

Kitchen Worktop

Refrigerator: 2 days

Freezer: Do not freeze. This type of fish can become mushy when frozen and then thawed at home.

Fish (lean), fresh (eg: Tilapia, Flounder, and Cod)

Refrigerator: 2 days

Freezer: 6 months

Tip: Ensure you use crushed ice rather than ice cubes as these take too long to melt and can discolour the skin of the fish.

The best way to store fish is to remove it from its wrapping and place inside an airtight plastic bag. Place this on top of a tray filled with crushed ice and then store in the fridge. Replace when the ice starts to melt.
