Tip: Make sure there is enough space around the garlic for air to circulate.

Garlic is best stored at room temperature. Refrigeration can cause the bulbs to deteriorate. Store the garlic in a mesh/wire basket or a paper bag and then place in the pantry (in a dark, dry place but somewhere where there is enough space to allow the garlic to breathe). It’s best not to freeze garlic as this can affect the texture and flavour but if you have a few cloves left over then you can just place in some plastic wrap in the freezer and take when needed.
