Where Should I Store...
Potatoes

Food Cupboard

Food cupboard: 5 days

Potatoes (Red, Russet, Yukon gold, and others):
Food cupboard: 3 weeks

Tip: Make sure there is enough space around them for air to circulate. If you store potatoes with apples, the apples will prevent the potatoes from sprouting. However, the potatoes may not be so kind to the apples and make them spoil faster!

Potatoes should be stored in a dark environment. Any warmer than 7-10 degrees celsius and they may start to sprout and go bad. It’s a good idea to store them in a hessian sack as this will release the moisture but still allow the potatoes to breathe (whilst preventing too much light from getting through).
