With Christmas well and truly on the way, it’s time to fill the kitchen cupboard with mince pies, get the Baileys in the drinks cabinet and stock up on all of the cheeses. During November, we held a competition on our Facebook page for people to submit a photo of their doggos in Christmas attire. Barks for Larks was a success and saw over 101 dalmatians entries (some featuring cats). Every so often, we wonder what good we did in the world to deserve dogs, and this competition proved that they are the best creatures to walk this earth. Choosing our top four winners was a real challenge – but after hours of debate, we just about managed.
Barks For Larks Winner
Bobby
As we mentioned earlier, choosing the winner was hard, but it is so easy to see why this handsome young lad took home the gold. He was so proud to be sporting his gingerbread scarf; you can see it in his eyes. We know that he has many pawlifications in being a good boy, and he has really given us the Christmas cheer.
Second Place
Scooby
Deciding between Bobby with his toothy grin and Scooby who was lovingly tending baby Jesus was incredibly hard – if there could have been two winners, there would have been! What we love about this is the protective paw resting on Jesus – no one is going near him. Strong 10/10 for your efforts Scooby.
Third Place
Mrs Santa and Grumpy Elf
Our hearts are full of pug love when it comes to Mrs Santa and Grumpy Elf. These guys look like they’ve spent the day getting Mr Claus’s stock ready, and are ready for a mince pie or two. Well done for the efforts guys!
Fourth Place
Loki
Loki is serving a look in his jacket and Santa hat and we love it. Loki looks like a seasoned celebrator when it comes to Christmas, as well as a guard to that snowy wall! You are certainly on Santa’s good list, Loki!
A few more favourites
We loved every single entry in the Barks for Larks competition, and we’re so grateful to everyone who entered! We hope you have an excellent Christmas, and we wish you all a happy new year!
