FAQs
What does “made‑to‑measure kitchen” mean?
Our made‑to‑measure kitchens are designed and manufactured to your exact specifications—every kitchen cabinet, door, and drawer is cut precisely to fit your space.
This means no filler panels or awkward gaps—just a seamless, professional-standard finish that you’ll love.
Can I replace kitchen doors without purchasing a whole unit?
Absolutely. You can breathe new life into your kitchen affordably by replacing just the door fronts and drawer panels while keeping your existing carcasses.
Our made-to-measure doors sit flush for a designer look without requiring the removal of cabinets.
Do I need a professional fitter to install your kitchens?
While you could opt for a skilled DIY installation and review our free fitting guides, you may prefer a professional kitchen cabinet fitter, especially for aligning doors and adjusting hinges to ensure a flawless, showroom-quality result.
What kitchen door styles do you offer?
We offer a curated range of premium styles, including classic shaker, contemporary handleless, high-gloss, and matte finishes. All are crafted in the UK and available in modern, neutral, or bold palettes to suit a variety of design aesthetics. Check out our brochures for the latest products.

What Is The Difference Between A Standard Kitchen And A Fitted Kitchen?
A standard kitchen can include a range of free-standing units that are not integrated with either the room or other units. While this can be a convenient and affordable solution under some circumstances, standard kitchens often have unsightly gaps and mismatched units, making the space feel cluttered and untidy.
At Larks and Larks, our fitted kitchens are designed with the customer in mind. Our range of fitted kitchens integrates multiple units and surfaces into a single, cohesive whole, without any unsightly gaps or uneven surfaces. By including options like pull-out storage and corner units, our customers can create a completely bespoke kitchen that serves their needs while providing a beautiful space in their home.
How Can I Measure My Kitchen Accurately?
When measuring for a fitted kitchen, our design and fitting guides can help our customers take accurate, reliable measurements to be passed on to our team of manufacturing professionals. By following these guides closely, our customers can create beautifully integrated kitchens that are both functional and beautiful.
Can I Install A Fitted Kitchen Myself?
Our customers do have the option of installing their fitted kitchens on their own, but we would only recommend this to experienced DIYers who are confident in their abilities.
If you do not have a lot of experience building and installing units, you may benefit from a professional kitchen installation to ensure that you get the beautiful, high-quality finish that you deserve.
Why Are Plinths Used In Fitted Kitchens?
Plinths are the long strips of either laminate or wood that run across the bottom of kitchen units. Plinths are an invaluable tool for integrated kitchen units, as they prevent dirt, dust, and debris like dropped food from rolling under your units, as well as providing a clean, neat finish that hides the edges of your units and elevates your kitchen’s aesthetic.
