We’re deeply proud of the strides we’ve made since our humble beginnings 21 years ago. We’ve managed this growth without the need for government grants, relying instead on the passion and hard work of our tight-knit team.

Before co-founding Lark & Larks, Steve gained invaluable experience at Mereway Group, although they have now ceased trading, they were one of the UKs leading kitchen manufacturers and exclusive suppliers to John Lewis. His five years there reinforced the importance of offering high-quality materials and a carefully curated product range - a philosophy that would shape the future of Lark & Larks.

🔹 2005 - We launched our first retail website, making made-to-measure kitchens, bedrooms, kitchen doors, and carcasses accessible directly to the public. Today, in its 7th generation, our website attracts over 30,000 unique visitors per month.

🔹 2007 - As demand grew, we moved into our first commercial premises, featuring a 1,000 sq. ft. retail showroom and a 2,000 sq. ft. warehouse.

🔹 2014 - Expansion led us to a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, with a 10,000 sq. ft. factory and a 3,000 sq. ft. warehouse, enabling us to enhance production and efficiency.

🔹 2020 - A major milestone! We purchased a new factory premises, investing £1.5 million into acquiring the unit, upgrading machinery, and modernising our office space. Alongside this, we launched a brand-new Trade website, making online ordering for trade customers seamless and efficient.

Then Covid hit, bringing unprecedented challenges to businesses across the industry. However, rather than slowing down, we used this time to adapt, innovate, and strengthen our offering.

As the world returned to normality, Lark & Larks emerged stronger than ever. We expanded our product ranges, introduced even more customisation options, and refined our online experience to make ordering faster and more convenient for both retail and trade customers. Our Trade website grew rapidly, becoming a go-to platform for kitchen and bedroom fitters, while our retail customers continued to enjoy the same bespoke, high-quality products we've always been known for.

In November 2024, we’re taking things even further with the launch of our brand-new website, designed to offer an even smoother and more intuitive shopping experience for both trade and retail customers. With enhanced navigation, improved customisation tools, and a fresh new look, it’s never been easier to create your dream kitchen or bedroom.

Today, Lark & Larks remains a family-run business with a passion for craftsmanship and design. With our state-of-the-art factory, cutting-edge technology, and dedicated team, we continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible in made-to-measure kitchens and bedrooms - all while maintaining the personal touch that has been at the heart of our story from day one.

And the journey doesn’t stop here… 🚀

We’ve always been a family business, and this remains the case even as we grow. All five Larkin siblings work for the company, both in the office and across the assembly line. Another brother – Martin Larkin – joined the team in 2016 as a Director to head up operations, which included introducing an apprentice scheme and new manufacturing processes.

Over the past three years, we’ve employed nine apprentices; six of these are now fully qualified CNC operators and have been working for the company for over eight years. We’re also hugely proud to continuously support the local cancer support charity Help Harry Help Others, and have been doing since it was launched in 2012.
